About me
I have had the good fortune of three careers, the first in IT gave me a deep understanding of how information and technology can support an organisation. Then as a leader of IT Security and Cyber functions in financial institutions I had to learn how to bring pragmatic control structures to highly complex organisations. Co-founding and leading a boutique governance, strategy and risk advisory firm for 15 years broadened my IT Governance skillset out into Corporate Governance. The breadth and scope of engagements over this journey developed a pragmatic-ness to my advice that reflects that governance is often more about people.The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) only work with the best facilitators and I have been facilitating, authoring and reviewing governance, strategy, risk and cyber courses for them since 2010. As the author of all of the AICD's Cyber courses since 2017 I have been recognised as a thought leader in the governance of Cyber for over seven years.
